Fear Not #13 – Psalm 56:3 NIV – When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
This is another simple, but powerful verse. It’s simple because it’s a basic statement, if this happens, then this happens. When I am afraid, then I put my trust in you. It’s also simple because it’s a very simple and easy concept. When I am afraid, what should I do? Oh, yes, put my trust in God. The simplicity of this makes it very powerful. There aren’t a lot of rules to follow or steps to remember. Trigger – I feel afraid. Response – put your trust in the Lord. Simple, but powerful. Easy to implement even when our brains are overwhelmed with our fear. Almost like a mantra. Breathe in – when I’m afraid; breathe out – I put my trust in you. Repeat.
Thank you Jesus that when we are afraid, we can put our trust in you. You are trustworthy.
