Summer of “Fear Not” 2020 #12
Fear Not #12 – Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV – Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
This verse is so comforting. We start with some commands. First Be strong and courageous. This can be challenging, but have faith and obey because this is followed by do not be afraid or terrified, why? Because of them. Who is “them?” This can be any one or thing that is frightening you because you were being strong and courageous. Why don’t you need to be afraid or terrified? Because the Lord your God goes with you. And not only does He go with you, but He will never leave or forsake you. Think of forsake as let you go. Not only will He never leave you, but He will never let you go. What a comfort. Thank you Jesus that we don’t need to be afraid because you will never leave us or let us go.
